Campint Trip!!!

So I got up early again, like at 7. I made some french toast and then me and Marissa and Ana drove all the way to San Antonio. It was actually a pretty quick trip. Ana is going to Eaurope as a graduation pressent. She studied speach therapy and plans to go to one year of grad school to get her degree in costa rica...lucky. Then me and Marissa drove home and that was fun.

Once I got back I put everything in a higher gear. Started to get my stuff ready for the camping trip. I started to pack and get everything ready. I am going to gardner state park and apparently its a really nice place. Then I went ot pick up Edy and Jake came over after work to shower. We ate dinner and then took offWe drove a long ways all the way to pfluversville, Texas, but not before getting lost and going in the middle of no where. If we would have found a little kid walking with a doll or something we would have crapped in our pants and died of a heart attack, it was that scarry out there. There were only dry corn fields and bushes that were encroaching the woods. There was absolutely nothing out there and we knew were were going the wrong way, especially when we found out we were at "Fuchs Grove"...yea, it was that weird. But we crashed and slept good at Edy´s Uncle, Derik´s house. Its a nice house in the middle of no where, a little subdevision. We slept hard but short cause we had to get up again soon haha

So we took off int he morning and had to use old school maps. We ate a little breakfast and that was fun. And then we had to drive through Austin again and we descided to round off san antonio and then we got closer and closer and then we got lost in this one small town because edy said to go strait and we went off the map into this guetto village place and he said keep going trust me and then we got through this bridge over water into a dead end. Thanks. But Jake found it. we finally found gardner state park and then we descided to get some food. Edy said he knew of this place that was a little off. Well Edy gave us another huge detuer with him saying, tust me guys its over here I swear, when I thought we should have gone in the other road that was approaching a small town. Well we finally do turn around and we find th eplace. What do you know.

Then we have tog et in line to get our reservations and we made it to the camp ground. Pretty modest little spot with a fire spot, a bench, a trash pole and a water faucet. Yea. So we first piched tent which turned out to be pretty easy and then we went to the lake.

We were dying to see this sign
...especialy with Edy directing

THen we went to the lake. We were there for about four hours and it was a bunch of fun. THe water was vey low because there was no rain in like forever. The water was warm and it was shallow enough that you could touch the rocks at most places with your feet. Me and Ed had fun witht his really high rope swing. Edy coudlnt get enough. Then we watched some guys climb these trees super high and then jump down. Two kids did back flips off of them. Tjhere was this one guy who went up there and then sat there at the top for a while. THen he turned around to moon everyone and then let go after everyone started to laugh at his white butt and he landed hard on his back. It was pretty entertaining I must admit. THen we met some girls that lived in Sheperd, Texas and most of them were ging to A&M and that was cool talking to their fun experiences at the park. THen we took off ourselves back to our palce. Edy made a fire becuase he was persistant that he needed to make one. We said wait till alter, but he said he rather have the hot embers so when we came back we could just wiff them up and have a blaz. That was until some random dude told us to put out the fire because park people were making their rounds looking for fires. So Edy had to put it out...so much for that.

Our Tent
Dont tell me you didnt want to see random trees

We ate a little and we had a good time talking. Then we dressed to go dancing. And this is where it got fun. We left at 9:15ish and got there and went in at 9:30. There were a lot of people, a LOT OF PEAOPLE. We wer elucky to find a quick place to park. We went in and took a few scans of the place. Tons of girls. I ran into this one girl who was all out texan. Started to talk to her and I told her things about Michigan and bla bla bla and then she was like, so you dont know the two-step? No I dont...well, let me show you! Ok! Haha, so she took me out and she showed it to me and it was a lot of fun. The next thing you know I was all over the dance floor nailing that Two-Step down. It was awesome.
About to get our groove goin

The rest of the night we just hung out at the tent and talked about good times. It was already really late by this time so we were exausted. But the weather was much nicer and dang it was a good bonding time. The next morning had to get up at 8 and get ready to leave. We cleaned up everything and tore down the tent and then we left for Corpus. The ride back was a lot smoother and then I went to work. it was great considering the last time I had a ligit shower not inculding the river was 2 days ago. But it was awesome and so was the game. Yea, it was great, great trip. about 800 miles in two days. Want to go again.

Too early to get up...and who´s fault is that??

Sweet Pre-Spring Break Week! 9th-15th Feb 09

What a week! I love these little gem weeks when you do just about everything imaginable in a short time span!

Tuesday we played against Michigan State. Now this was a dissapoinment. We had all been working so hard for this game. Well, for the most part that is. And hten State came in and was playing on the top of their game. Both teams were struggling scoring, but they were just mearcyless on the defensive end. They are so big and play so quickly that they completely shut out our offense. You can see that my the fact that we only had 15 in the first half! And Manny had his second bucket of the game wit a few inutes left in the game! They really shut manny out, but also our wings. They played a 2-3 defense, and since they were so big and quick they could cover the open 3 in a heart beat. So we ahd no open 3s, all contested, leaving us with a 4-24 3-point shooting. The only force we had, surprising ly enough for his small size, was Peedi, Deshawn Sims. He was the only one making consistent baskets, and it was impressive to have him shoot at such a high percentage. All in all, it was very dissapointing, and so much drama happened on the bench with cups spilling, running out of towels and players throwing up and bleeding; it was a mess. I yelled so hard and got intot he game so much that by the end of the game, and when I finally had to accept defeate, I was dead, truely worn out completely, as if I had played in the game. We will have to win on Sunda against Northwestern.

There I am on the bench

Weds I jsut studied all day. I had a stats exam for thursday and I had to be ready for it. Well, Thurday ame about and I didnt have nearly as much time that day as expected to study, which was a big annoyance as I had to cram in a lot of material and 2 practice exams in 2 short hours. Then I ran over to the undergraduate science building to take my exam. Now I was getting the concepts down, but I still had a difficult time distinguishing between what formulas to use, because we have like 4 different formulas to find th sample mean of a population proportion, so to know which one to use in a given question was difficult. I have no idea what I got, but we will see.

Right after the exam I literally ran over tto the dorm to meet up with my room mates to go to the Red Wings Hockey Game! I didnt really get to eat. I just went inot the caferteria to make a big turkey sandwitch and walked right back out. Ben got 4 slices of pizza and walked out. We all waddled over to David´s dads car and took off. We had 6 strong: me, david, ben, mark, alex, and todd (a dude that will live in the quad next year). I had tons of energy in the car and alex and mark took turns playing the beer pong application game on my iPhone. We drove to Detroit and thats when I saw a border patrol SUV and I was dazzeled to see one from all the way from Texas up in Detroit. That was until I was educated that they have a border patrol for Canada as well and that there was Canada across the Detroit River...wow, I had no idea.

The game was pretty fun. It is much better watching it live. I had a bunch of fun yelling the whole game. I was still horse from the MSU game so I am pretty sure my voice is getting wore every day progressibvly. My bad. But it was tons and tons of fun. We all placed bets who would make the first score and I picked #26 because that was my football number in high school. It was some ceck republic dude but low and behold he scored first! So I got a free pretzel from my firneds which I shared to everyone. The Wings ended up wining 4-2. Yeah, Go Wings!

Friday was a whole different ball game. And it was freakin sweet. Mark Pressprich, my good friend Mark, haha, well he told me as we were driving up Thursday that since I actually had nothing going on Friday night, that I ahd to go dancing with him, salsa dancing that is, the best type of dancing around. Well, I havent been salsa dancing in a while, alothough I love it, so I said sure, I would go. And wow, what a night! Originally it was going to me me, mark, Rina, and Bethie, but then their friend Adam from high school came and then Ashely showed up later at the Heidlerberg. And what a night! I was going all out with my moves. I danced with some of the loacals early on and then when it got dense and sweety around I sticked with out 3 girls and just had one of the most liberating fun on the dance floor I have every had. It was great to dance with them 3 and me and Mark had an asolute blast. We danced till like 2 and then we went outside to discover it was snowing again! It had just all melted away a few days ago, but now we had this thin layer of soft white snow.

We were kinda hungry and didnt want the night to end,s o we all drive over to Pizza House. Haha, we had so much fun as we talked about basketball (that was my fault, but hey, it was NBA AllStar weekend), school, nutrition, and NFP (Haha, I am not kidding). We kept having fun and being goofy and trying eachother´s deserts and wow, another great night was in development. Me and Mark were just going all out and yeah, awesome. I love going to bed at 4.

Which, speaking of which, we had to get up bright and early on saterday for the Valentine´s Girls Breakfast! So I hardl slept at all, my voice was gone, I was beggining to feel a little sick, and my knee was gone, and with little sleep I troddled over with Ben to Campus Chaple. I set up some of the food and coffe and I was in charge of entertaining the laddies as they got some pancakes and tried to pour the coffee. And then I joined Ben and Will to sing some songs to the ladies and it was awesome, hahaaha. And poor Mark slept in. We all knew he would. After that I got Alex tot drop me off at Crisler Arena for some practice. And after practice, inspired by the NBA Slam Dunk Contest that was going down tongith, all the players gave a few tries themselves at Dunking the ball, which led to us managers attempting to do as well. Haha, epic failier. After that I lifted even though I was feeling a bit tired.

I got back to the dorm like at 4pm. I took a shower and got some reading done and then Bethie came by to pick me up. We drove over to Borders in Ipsi where Rina works and did some of my History489 reading there...well, for a little, till I got distracted and wondered around the building, looked at sport car magazines (Top Gear, yeah!), tasted some hazlenut coffe and talked to Rina and Bethie. And then Mark joined us all of assudent, ready fot eh night. That night was the 80´s Valentine´s dance at St Mary, the one I made the poster for that was all over campus. He showed up with his look and was ready to go. We were laughing at this book called "How to get girls" that was written by a 9 year old! Hahaha. Check out an exlusive border´s interview here.

We drove back to the PentaDude and chilled ther trying to watch the NBA 3-point shooting contest and Slam Dunk contest, But it was taking forever tog et there and they had all their NBA Cares propoganda and it was really annoying so we just goofed off as I tried to get a costume up for the 80´s theme. I ended up wearing my one pair of jeans, stealing Bethie´s shirt (I kid you not), my gradnfather`s orange shirt and my saxophone tie around my head. It was epic. Haha, and together me and Mark went to conquer the land of the 80s. Ashely was there and so was my catechism partner Danny, and me and MArk were goffing off the whole night. The cool thing is that since none of us were there in the 80s, we can pull off whatever rediculous dance we want and get away with it, haha. And that is exsactly what we and mark did. But alas, because of the fatige, little sleep, working out, malnutrition (I forgot to eat lunch or dinner, haha, I know), no voice, little sickness, and the fact that we were up and slasing all night last night, we left early, haha, but not by much. I just wanted to sit down. So me and Mark, AKA Los Charros Borachos (thats right, and dont you forget!) went back tot he PentaDude and then killed some Nazi Sombes on Call of Duty IV World at War on the PS3. We ended up staying late anyways. But hey, it was fun.
Sunday....sunday sunday. It was one of those days that I got up and had hours blocked off for work, but since I finally had some time to myself, the first in weeks, and since I actually got to pull out my bible and devotional and spend some quality time with God, well, lets just say I lost about 3 hours doing that, haha, woops. Not really a bad thing, but I did loose a lot of time. And then I had to get ready for my afternoon living at St Marys. So I packed up my belongings and get my lesson plan ready and went for the large afternnoon. I had cathecism class with Danny and the kids, but the annoying this was that the Northwestern game was on and I couldnt watch it! We had to beat these guys! So I followed the entire game on my iPhone, but the game took foever! It went into my NCSA meeting, and since the game was close the entire game, it just kept getting longer and longer. The last 2 minutes felt like every rebound they would call a time out,a dn then there was a foul, and then we were up by 5, and then, woops, lets make them tied. And then alas, overtime. Overtime! Ahhh! I cant even watch the game! I am watching it closely on my phone and not even paying attention tot he meeting. I just kept nodding my head and tried to keep the facial exressions to a minimum. It was a constant struggle between hypervenelating and acting as chill as possible. And then we finally won and I just felt so relieved, like haha I was feeling relaxed. We won, and thats all that mattered. I played saxophone at mass with my hourse voice and then went back to the PentaDude where one more epic adventure awaited me.

Well, here is the deal. On Friday David turned 23, yes, I know, it is very old, but I non-the-less speak the truth. So the girls (rina and bethie) were going to make their epic cake for him, but the old man desided he was too old for school and took off Friday afternoon to go home. So we had to call that off. But the girls would not give up, no they wouldnt. So they reschedualed for Sunady night at 10ish. They showed up with this insane red flannel shirt cake, haha, and they brought Ashely along with them. But then we couldnt figure out when he would come back. And so we messed around with duck tape and fighting off the girls with their weird ways and watching the slam dunk highlights. And then Alex and Ben came back,s aying that they had men´s group and that David was talking and would probobly take forever. So in anticipation, and in our preparedness (is that a word?) he finally came and we busted out the cake and the knife and the fun and wow, it was so glorious. I even had an old man poem written for him with the aid of my new rhyming dictionary and that was pretty cool as well. All in all, it was great to have the trio girls over att he PentaDude and messing around with cake and duck tape, I mean, you cant go wrong with that. Haha. And then when they left us dudes could not end the night and so the Nazi Sombe slaing ensued and then I finally put all my stuff online and it was one amazing week. Wow. Haha. Cheers -DP

ROAD TRIP!!!

Well, after a long debate and after trying to convince my parents that the necessity of going to a close friend´s wedding was a great idea but that I didnt have to go, I was finally set free. I had to go to Round Rock, the triple A affiliated with the Astros, the team above us, the Corpus Christi Hooks, needed me to go help them in a mascot day on the 17t of August. I had been looking to going with Edy. They were going to pay for a room and gas and it was gonna be a blast. Well, Casey, my good buddy from High School, was going to move in into college station on the 15th, the frisday before the sunda game. So after much discussion and pursuation, my parents let me go.

This past week was rediculous. I went to a stained and hinder concert, I hung out with Edy and Casey, and then again oe epic night with Edy, Casey, and Austin Arce, another bud from high school and played basketball together. It was my last week off before working again with the hooks and then leaving for Ann Aror, so I had to make it count. It was nearing the end of the week, and I planned to go up with Casey to college station, then go to round rock for the game sunday, and possibly chill in San Antonio on Monday on my way back. But before I knew it, not only Edy and Arce were gonna go with me, but everything took forever to plan at the last minute as we didnt even know we were gonna go till 3pm the day of.

So after getting everything together, us three took off behind Casey who was an hour infront of us. On our way we saw a burning house and that was cool. We finally got there late like at 2 am. We went to eat at ihop. I got to meet Ricky, Casey´s room mate. I called him Ricky Bobby from that will ferrel racing movie, and the nick name caught on. We meet a sherif/cop dude who drove a charger at the ihop. I asked him if he ever gassed it up. He said no. I asked him if he ever drifted, and after looking at me, he said no. The guys thought I was crazy for asking, but I had too, haha.

We stayed up watching dodgeball, which was a stupid movie. oh, and I was the only one who stayed up. I cant go to sleep with the tv on. Everyone fell asleep within the first few minutes. SO I fell asleep at 6:30 am. Casey got us up at 9 am to go to home depot to pick paint for his dorm. Well, we were all tired and I cant even see coulars so I was screwed but we ate at freebirds and it was all good. We painted his room for a while and had a little fun in the process. Later we went to the awesomeness gym they have there in Texas A&M and played some ball. Even though we all sucked hard core from a combination of never playing anymore and harly sleeping, we crushed the opposition. Then we went to eat at a really good pizza place, even though me and ed got competely lost trying to get there.

Let me just break in right here for a special announcment: College Station has ALL the Girls...no joke. The girls here are amazing! Under my calculations, 90% are cute and 49.67% are plain hot. I am not joking. I have never seen so many amazing girls in my life! It seems every girl I saw was just the cutest ever! I ahd no idea what to do! I just wanted to stay there! Haha. Its a known fact that Michigan is not known for their girls because you have to be smart to get there. Really smart. All the pretty girls got o Michigan State because it is an easy school and a party school. Therefore Michigan suffers...but let me tell you what, College Station in no way is suffering! It is...a wonderland! Hahaha. Truely amazing! Im gonna have to visit more often! ...ok, back to my story...

After we ate pizza, we went to shower and went to this awesom club there. It was a bit off campus but it was a huge place filled with people and just a great atmosefear for dancing. We were able tos neak Edy into the 18 and up club with a friend´s ID that didnt even look like Edy. The place was good but I only got one dance. I was kinda depressed, but you do what you do. I have been practicing dancing, now I just got to practice asking girls our to dance, haha, something we never did in Annapolis. Baaa. I was kinda pissed, but whatever. It was probobly the amount of pretty girls that threw me off. Haha

That night me, Edy, and Arce went to get some snacks at the only place open at that hour, McDonalds. Then we watched some retarted movie, I forgot what it is called. Some looser is going to gyp the special olympics, haha. And we died. I woke up bright and early to go to mass. I found where the St. Mary in College Station was on my iphone. But I got lost trying to get there and found our I was going to completely opposite directions from some nice baptsits. So I went to mass and it was full under construction. It was packed but I was able to sneak into the 4th row. And low and behold, I was sitting 3 people down from one of my old friends from phillips and he was my neighbor when I grew up and went to school with im for a year at Most Precious Blood, Anthony Legamaro. I talked to him and then talked to the young preist who celebrated mass. I told him that I was from the St Mary in Ann Arbor and that we send them our greetings. He thought that was the coolest thing. I really enjoyed mass. It was packed to the brim, and yet it wasnt as charasmatic type as the one in Ann Arbor, it was loaded with students, tons of pretty girls, and even some of the mass parts where the same. I cant wait to get back to Ann Arbor...After mass I chatted up with him and took off. Back at the dorms, us 3 guys got ready to go. We grabbed casey, went to some mexican resturant in my car, dropped him off, pumped the music, waved to the girls and left.

The drive to Round Rock was about 2 hours, much longer than we expected, but we got there on time. We were lucky that Rust the Hook, one of our 2 mascots, did a good representation of us and won the Mascot Home Run Derby. He was 8 for 8 in the first round and had the farthest hit ball i the championship round. Kudos to him. The game was a bunch of fun, and I know Edy adn Arce loved officially being able to go wherever they wanted and saving 50% off with my money on whatever food they wanted. I showed them how to drive the stick on the cool man car after the game and then went to the hotel.

We were staying at the Hilton Gardens, all room payed. And let me tell you what, what an amazing hotel it was! Truly awesome! THe coolest beds and all. Haha. I got cleaned up and we watched a little of Johnson in gymnastics and then took off. Plan was: drop off ed with his brother in law, Derick, at his house in fploversvill that was 20 minutes away, and then me and arce go to a local club for round 2. Well, it was gonna work till all the local clubs sucked, har core. ONe had only 8 old men in it playing loud music and rinking, and the other one wasnt even in the location it was supposed to be. But whatever, I was dead tired, and after watching a little Jack Ass 2 in Derick´s awesome house, we went back to the hotel and crashed...

But I forgot to telly uo something! The lawfirm I was working for needed its documents read for Monday´s deposition! They were supposed to be done before monday but Casey had no internet in his dorm and I was screwed. I had 200 documents to read, about 4-6 hours of work. But we had none! So monday morning I got up early and read documents, even though they were past due...only to find another 200 assigned to me! Crap. So I worked hard and got 100 done. Right before we had to go, they where showing table tennis on the olympics, and since I had been waiting the whole olympics to watch it, I watched a bit, told Carlos to record the rest at home, and we left.

We went to eat at ihop, got some gas, and jammed up on our way back until they fell asleep. So lets get this strait: I had hardly slept the entire week. I had gotten up early saterday to get paint that I couldnt even see, got up early sunday to go to church when no one else got up, and got up early monday to do documents. And now I was driving home and they were asleep again, and whenever they woke up they complained of us getting there quick because they were tired...yeah, whatever. But, alas, we made it. We did go through Austin and San Antonio before arriving back to Corpus at a little after 4pm. I got home like at 5 and I was dead the entire time. I ate, watched some of the recorded ping pong and some of the live olympics, and went to bed. After over 800 miles of driving in 4 days (even though I didnt drive saterday), I finally could go to sweet bed to sleep...

End of school maham

Well Fokes....I was so busy these past 2 weeks that I didnt even have time to stop by and say hi! It was terrible! Work coming out of my nostrils and all other bodily openings! Its wasnt even funny! But alo, I am here now. And so we begin

School was nuts. My Movement Science 110 final was pretty good. Hard, but I got a B. Overall in the class I got a B. Thats great at Michigan. I studied a lot for my econ101 final. Of course I should have studied more, but I picked up some extra shifts on friday and saterday...I wont tell you how much I worked those days, but I will tell you that they were a lot. So of course when those days were gone, I killed my butt studying for econ101 all sunday, monday and tuesday. I worked and worked, and it seemed I was getting the concept down...and I really was, really, but then that blasted last exam came around tuesday night and the rest was history. It was so hard. I didnt know what was going on. It was definitely harder than the last exams covering the same material. There were 33 questions. 10 were true/false, and the rest were multiple choice. I had to guess on 6 of them, completely guess b/c I didnt know what the heck was going on. They would show you a graph of the marginal cost tell you the average total cost was at minimum, and expect you to advise the monopoly whether they should increase or decrease output, increase or decrease price, and that was if you said stay open in the first place! Baaa! So essentially I guessed 6/23, thats like freakin 25%! It was terrible! I wanted to kill someone! But I was too tired and brain dead to do so! I turned in my exam to my GSI and told her it was butt hard. She said it was surprisingly hard for her too...which tells you something....

After the exam that tuesday night I went strait to the St Mary end of year dance thingy. It rocked as usual. I went to the Christmas one and had a blast, and this one was swell as well (thats a rimmer!). At first I was so frustrated about the exam, so my friend Devon took me up stairs and we wrestled to get the frustration out. I beat him real fast, but it did a great job of getting that frustration out. I was going crazy in the dance again. My dancing skills have improved leaps and bounce since last year, no joke, really, like I can actually dance kinda now. You have to believe me (Arce and Casey). I have been working diligently to get some some, natural moves down, and I am at the level were I can just hit the floor and not worry about how undanceful I am any more. Good stuff

Weds they had a barbecue at my dorm, and when they do something like that at Bursley on North Campus, its a big deal, cause we have over 1000 students living there. So in stead of getting there when everyone else would, I went to lift and came back at the end, and there was still a huge line. But I played some football and stuff...you just had to stay out there cause the weather was so good! Finally Michigan turned sunny! Finally Ann Arbor came to its amazing spring self! I mean, sure the leaves were not out yet, but hey, the temperature was a perfect 72 degrees, with the sun out not too bright, with a smooth breeze, and I could go on and on, cause it was perfect. So I spent a little too much time with my friends, but it was worth it.

(Me and Marc, my buddy from Cameroon that lived right next to my room)

So I did finish classes and my last final on tuesday, the 15th of April. But I had 2 papers due at noon on friday. I also had to pack all my storage boxes and my boxes shipping back home for the 3-5 pick up on friday. So I was flying, trying to get through this paper as fast and as good as I could. I had the great idea of playing tennis with on of my buds there, Eugene, and we played out in the sun from 11:30 to 2pm. I lost the first set 6-2, it was pathetic. But I lead in the second match starting 2-0. We tied 2-2, then I lead 4-2, then we tied 6-6. We fought back and forth and then I finally lost 9-7. It was crap. SO close! It was my first game in ages. But the sun killed me as I always does, and Im not just talking about the sun burn. I got a massive head ache. It was terrible. I wanted to do nothing but sit around the rest of the day. But I had to work. And then I had to write my papers. I ended up taking an hour and 1/2 nap b/c everything felt so weak. Then I wrote some more and more until I finished at 2:30 am. Then Eugine came back to taunt me cause he beat me and b/c I looked so tired and weak and he only needs 3 hrs of nap time a day. And with that I began to clean! And Pack! and Clean! And then I died at 5:30. I got up at 7, packed a little more, then took a 1/2 hr nap, packed packed packed, and then I left at 10:30 to go to my meeting. I dropped of my 2 papers and went to my meeting at cottage inn with the St Mary NCSA (Newman Church Student Association). Then I went back, packed like a freak, cleaned and was done by 3:45, just like I needed to. I had 3 boxes for shipping, 2 of storage, 1 plastic container of storage, and a cleaned refrigerator for storage. I had way too much crap with me. After that, I went to drop off some stuff, picked up my suitcases from a friends house, and went to the Briarwood mall with Annika before she leaves forever back in Germany. I was lucky enough to borrow a friend of mine's car. Matt is awesome- just for the record. He wants to start his own gaming developing firm, so all you should buy the games he makes, cause he is a great guy. I will remind you guys in the future, so dont worry about it too much now. So I did all my errands, got back and packed my bags, or tried to squeeze everything that was left in those bags, and then died again. I was kinda sick cause of the sun/lack of sleep, so that night was not pleasant. But considering it was more than the last few days combined, it was nice. I was sleeping on a bare matrice cause everything was already shipped. I stole Pete's blanket, my roommate (no, pete is my roommate, not the blanket silly!) and that helped a little. I did wake up a few time drenched in sweat. I was sleeping in the same clothes I wore all day cause thats all I had. I got up that morning, tried to figure out what to do to sign out, and finally left with Miriam Torrez, my awesome Godmother who took me to the airport. This was the first time American Airlines has ever been good to me. I actually got to Corpus on Time and with all my luggage! A miracle indeed!

W3ll, being back in the hot, humid Coprus was strange, but kinda nice. My dad and two younger bros, Christopher (AKA Skunk...dont ask) and Michael (Aka Sumo/Mega Wario) were jumping up and down to greet me. Michael even had a shirt that said "MR. HAPPY" and had a smiley face on it, haha. We went back home to see my mom and Carlos (AKA HotDog), oh, and the dog (Pepper, the only other female in the house). My dad finally decided to complete his Texaness and bough a grill. He loves grilled food, he just doesnt like the smell afterwards on his clothes and hair (Weak Sauce!), but he finally got one. So we grilled and ate outside by the pool and fountain and chatted the night away. Then of course we watched basketball together. Thats kinda my imprint on the family. I love to watch NBA, especially the playoffs, and since the playoffs began this saterday, we watched some of the first few games to come. Those darn spurs! GRRRR! I give Tim Duncan credit, but looser Manu Ginobli had to make the game winner to lead the Spurs over the Suns by 2 points in double overtime. And then the rockets just flopped. It was ugli. We will see what happens in the future.

Ok guys, I think I have spoken long enough. I had a lot to fill you in. Upcoming is my first week in Texas, including my new job with the Corpus Christi Hooks, so we will see how that goes. Also, more playoff action ahead, and who knows what else! Adios! -DP
