Video of the Month! Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder

Video of the Month...The Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, a car that I wouldn´t normally get, but hey, this Spyder (convertable edition) is pretty tight. Anyhow, this is a very entertaining review of this car from Top Gear and I highly recomend to sit back and enjoy the show.

(For added pleasure I recommend using HD qualit and full screen feature)

Oh, and let me know what you think. And let me know what you drive/wish you drove in the comment section. Yes, write in your comments! I want to hear from you!

Mamorial Day and Pop´s B-day

May 23-25
This break was the first in a long time. It was a three day break and it was loaded. And I loved it.

Sunday was my dad´s birthday. Since it was his birthday, we celebrated accordingly. After going to church and eating a brunch, and my dad taking a nap, me my dad and Skunk went to play tennis, but as we were leaving, it started to pour like rediculous. THere was now way we were going to be able to play tennis. So we came back and had a table tennis tournament, which was awesome. Of course, Pinedo style ment dressing all up. So that is what we did. And it was great, especially because the duo of Carlos and DP equalled victory. It was sweet.

But no party at the Pinedo House is completel with a little splash from the pool, so the Ultra-Lame Carlos hotdog stayed inside while the men of the house went out to play some king of the hill in the pool and it was epic. SO much fun having the young to the old (hint, my dad) in the pool dueling it out.

Later on we went to eat in my dad´s honor and watched the Orlando/Cleveland game. We are all hoping that Orlando wins in the East and that the Nuggets and Chauncy win in the West. It was great time spending with my dad. And it was great to see Orlando win.

Monday was sweet, cause it was another day off. We were able to all go to the beach together. You know the last time I have been able to go to the beach? Well, you wouldnt know, but to tell you what, I wouldnt know either! Its been forever! Since last summer (obviously haha). But it was good to go out with my family and get the surf´s up and jump in the waves with my bros and play catch with my dad and the football. And of course playoffs, lots of playoffs. I love it. I love watching the passion of the playoffs.

Mother´s Day and Playoffs!

I forgot to mention about Mother´s Day in the last post. Mother´s day here was wonderful, and that is attributed to the fact of having a wonderful mother to celebrate. She is strong and wise and prayerful. She is wonderful and full encompasses everything that one needs in a mother. We are truely blessed to have her, and ever Pepper our dog will attest. Thanks, Má, for all you do.

.......................................................................................

Now the Playoffs. Its playoff time, and now Conference Finals time and its getting pretty intesnce. I loved the Rockets/Lakers matchups and I wished the Rockets would have made it even thought the Lakers were the obviously the better team against the T-Mac and Yaoless Rockets. But it doesnt mean they didnt put up a fight, which was awesome.

Then there was the NBA Conference finals, with Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Lakers on one side int he West and the Orlando Magic against the Cleveland Cavelears in the East. Kobe vs. Carmelo and Howard vs. LeBron. Of course the Nuggets have been taking off. Ever since Denver took Chauncey Billups from Detroit, Detroit has been doing awefull and Denver has been doing awesome. How awesome? Well, Detroit has made the Conference Finals for the last 6 years. Denver hasnt made it in the millenium. Guess who made it this time? Denver and Chauncy made it and Detroit the Chauncyless didnt. Yea, its that important.

Well, I was really hoping that Orland and Denver would move on. Thus far its been pretty brutal. I think Orlando will take off into the NBA Finals. LeBron is doing really well but unfortunately for him the rest of his team is not. I feel like they dont deserve to make it to the finals no matter how good their all-star is playing. ON the other hand we see Denver and Los Angeles. Kobe has been doing really well and I have really enjoyed seeing his gam mature the past 3 years. He is so much better now than he has ever been. And I really glad he has become a full-eoncompassing player. But you know what? I rather have the newly stocked Denver with Carmelo, Chauncy, K-Mart, and Birdman make it to the Finals than Odam and Brown. Its just me.

But hey, dont forget about the NHL, baby! Its time! And Detroit, the playoff team is doing well! They have been playing against Aneheim who beat the #1 seed to play Detroit. They have played valiantly, but Gooden and Divak and Zetterber look like they will outmtch them and play for the Stanly Cup again! Only time will Tell!

Well, I will keep you guys posted on the playoffs and more stuff from the summer!

Hooks Galore

Now that I am back in Corpus and ready to go, I am working once again with the Corpus Christi Hooks, AA Afiliated with the Houston Astros. I worked here last year with onfield entertainment and promotions and after a successful summer I was invited to come back and work in the office with sales. So I descided to take one more summer back home in South Texas and take the job.

But before that I had jury duty. Yes, jury duty, and it was aweful. I got back from the Roadtrip on Sunday and the next day was jury duty. It was, well, haha. The room was loaded with people. I got there early but still it was loaded with people. Then they told everyone who was feeling sick to come up to th efront and get signed off in case of the swine flue. So a few people went in. The dude standing next to me didnt want to be there either and after thinking for a while said the heck with it, and descided to go report sickness just to get out of it. Then I stood there for 3 hours waiting my name to be called as if I was in a concentration camp, waiting for my fate. Finnally I was called on the second chair of this jury. Then we got this peice of paper with a phone number to call in to find out about our case. Well thankfull when I called it at 5pm my case was cancelled! Thank God. Now I dont have to convince the attorneys to put me down!

That night I helped my dad take his stuff out of the office with carlos. Took forever but we got it all with the frame and everything in the suburban and into the office here in the house. Get this-- we loaded and unloaded the frate elevator and loaded the suburban in less than 20 minutes and then unloaded it in 8. Now that's efficiency. 2 of the boxes weighed 60lbs plus. And I I didn't bring my boxes fat I used to ship from Michigan we would have been screwed. So that worked out.

But then the Hooks started and I worked and worked. I lost one of my positions but was given another one. So currently I work in sales and with sponsorship promotions. So it is a lot of work, a lot of hours in the office and in the humid air but I am enjoying my time so far. Its good to see old faces and fun to meet to the new ones!

First Saturday off in forever. Slept in alleluia. Dag holes for plants in the morning. Read 100 plus pages to finish Cinderella man. I really enjoys that last section. Man I love boxing and I love joe louis. Then went to play tennis with mama papa an skunk. Won the match 6-3, 6-4. The second set we were down 3-0 and won 4 strait. We would have won the fith strait as well but in duece skunk hit it out but it hit the score cards and bounced back in. Since it is attaché to the court it technically counts and they won two points to win the game. But I won my serve and gallantly defended against papa's massive serve to win the set and match.

Then we went I heb plus an got parties and brawlrths and glory road on blue ray. Cinderella man comes out on blue ray in 3 weeks so we are gonna wait on that. I had some problems setting up the ps3 into high def an when all hope was fading carlos fixed some settings and it worked. We watche the movie and it was very fast pace. Kinda scrible over the characters; no character development. Apparently they scribbled over a lot of facts of the true story but at the end I really liked it and man I can see myself coaching after that one. Lately I have been thinking of that dramatic comeback I made coaching after coach long got liked out and how much fun I had leading the team as a coach on the side lines. I can see myself doing it. Anyhow it was very cool and I want to buy that book and read it during the summer.

Saturday the 16th sucked. And let me tell you why. I got up late and tired. I ate with Ed and made some sandwithces. At 12:50 I try to leave and the bmer wasn't working. The engine wouldn't even attempt to start. So I had to wait for carlos to come get me. I had to do the prize wheel with katylin. Its liek this spin wheel. YOu pay $1 and get to spin with a guaranteed prize, and most of these prizes are pretty good, which is insentive for people to come over and over again. It took a lot of preperation. Almost all of the day. Then there was fear of rain. Then we opened the gates at 5:20 with 2000 people oustise ready for the camo replica jersies and then there was us, on the prize wheel. Then they pulled out the tarp beforethe game and people were all ready waiting 45 minutes to play the wheel. So many people! Then tv wind was blowing insanely strongand everything was falling over of flying away. So we got moved to a corner where there was no wind. But people kept comming and comming because there was rain and no one knew when the game would start. Well they didnt and I was getting really dehidrated hungry tired and dizzy. But we kept going. Finally at 9:40 we are told that they will call the game and shortly after they said it on the PA and then we soon closed. We ran out of so many things and had to restok on so many things. Most nights we make between $150-250 dollars. $300+ is a really good night and those only come on Fridays or Saturday. The record is just over $500. Well, we made $704. No joke. We blew everything out of the water. We made so much! Cause there was nothin to do! But I was beat and had to wait for my mom to pick me up.

QUOTE of the WEEK:
Quote of skunk on 051709:
"I told you already, I am going to bench 480lbs. I already bench 115lbs and I'm 13. When I turn 15 I will be benching 180...with my eyes closed and making pethitos...with a closed grip...and one handed! Take that!!!" ...yeah, right....

Back to Texas and Road Trip!

The Road trip was rediculous. Yes, first thing that I did coming back from Michigan was a road trip. I mean, why not? Me and Edy and Arce went to meet Casey in College Station where he is finishing up his second year there at Texas A&M University.

The drive up was fun. We left Corpus right after Edy got out from school. We drove strait there and got there around 10pm. It was good to see Casey, the first time in months. I also got to meet his girlfriend, Cortney for the first time.

The weekend was packed with memorable times. We crashed in Casey´s dorm and his roomate Ricky, AKA Ricky Bobby was cool enough to drive us around. We got a cool tour of the campus again and went to some hot spots around campus. We were able to meet many of Casey´s friends and see some of teh groups he is involved with on campus. Casey is planning on staying there for work this summer and Arce is leaving for boot camp soon for the national guard. So this was our last chance together for some time.

Check out this cool mini vid we made...
