Boxing...Pacquiao and the future
Alright, boys, its time to get manly in here. Boxing is having some crazy news and I wanna make sure yall get a taste of the glory.
First thing is first...Manny Pacquiao, my favorite active boxer, is now congressman of his native land, the Phillipines. How bad ass will that be when he goes into the ring and they announce...."Standing 5 feet and 6 1/2 inches...wearing red shorts...with a record of 56 fights, inchludeing 51 wins, 38 by knock out, 3 losses and 2 no contests, a wold champion in 7 different weight classes and the current WBO world welterweight champion and the Ring lightweight champion and also rated the undesputed #1 pound for pound fighter of the world...hailing from the Phillipines...the Pride of the Phillipines and current congressman of the Phillipines...Manny Pacman Pacquiao!!!!!!"
Now that is just sick. Wherever you go, you are like, My name I pacquiao. I am congressman from my country, the philipines. I am also number one boxer in the world....its almost like saying, Hey, I am Arnold Swarchernager...Governor of Californiiiia...and Mr Universe...check out my bisceps....thats, yea, wow. Thats like Tashaun Prince of the Pistons being the mayor of Detroit, which at this rate, anyone can do better than Kwame.
What is funnny is that Pacquiao was a huge favorite in the Phillipines, obviously, by being a national hero...but it still wasnt easy for himt to win. He lost the last time he ran for congressman to the same dude who was there for years, a Billionare Roy Chiongbian who had been there for years. Apparently there is a lot of problems voting there, like many other countries. They started a new electronic system and so there were bombings and michines destroyed and people died at some poll centers and just waide spread corruption. How do you defeate the system? By paying off poor, illiterate and uneducated famers in the reagon, with 1000 pesos...which is like a $20 dollar bill here in the US. That way you kock off a big percentage of the population. But this time, all th etacknics were not enough, as the Pacman received 80% of the votes. Wow, that is crazy.
But now that he is congressman, talks have arrisen again about a show down to the Manny Pacquiao, Mayweather fight. According to one article, the fight may be even in October or November of this year. This would be huge for boxing...most likly the biggest fight of the millenium thus far, out dowing every other fight ever in the history of boxing, including viewership and in the purse. This would be fantastic for boxing...imagine all the promotion and hype they could do for the sport of boxing for thr next few months when the top two regarded #1 pound for pound fighters, pacquiao viewed as the best boxer of the decade by many, and floid mayweather jr being a legend of his own right, still undeafeated and thus still unstoppable, to go at it one on one. This would be great, ont eh of the best defeanders and counterpunchers in the game vs one of the best offesnsive punching machines the plantet has ever set eyes on. What will be the outcome? Will one remain undefeated, engraving his legacy for beating THE BEST in boxing, or will the congressman show that he is indeed, the number one fighter of the decade, that he can and will loose to no one was the pride of the Phillipines? This fight has so much anticipation and, highly probable that it will generate the largest revenues in history, MUST HAPPEN! It has to happen!...because I want to watch it...and not only do I want to watch it, if it is in the Garden or Dallas Stadium, I WANT TO GO!!!!...comon! Please let it be a reality! Lets make some History!
